Human Rights Award, 2023
The recipient of the 2023 Human Rights award was Lilada Gee who founded "Defending Black Girlhood" and many other projects. Accepting the award for Ms. Gee was her brother Rev. Alex Gee. The award was presented by CWU Madison President Jenny Armstrong. The celebration was held at S.S. Morris AME Church in Madison, WI on Friday, February 3. For more information, go to Lilada.org.
